What am I made of: vintage laces, cats hairs and purple animal patterns.
Her name is Yukito Lim, a vintage store manager with a profound dedication to sustainability as her guiding design principle. For the past five years, she has had the privilege of curating and exploring the world of vintage fashion, discovering the beauty in timeless pieces and the stories they carry.
Throughout her journey, she has fostered a deep commitment to sustainability and ethical practices in the fashion industry. As a testament to this commitment, she has personally acquired and repurposed over 100 pieces of Japanese suits, breathing new life into them by using discarded fabrics and materials. These eco-conscious transformations ensure that each creation is not only one-of-a-kind but also environmentally responsible.
Her passion for sustainability has grown even further as I pursued a Graduate Diploma in Fashion Technology at the esteemed University of the Arts London. This transformative experience allowed her to combine creativity with cutting-edge technology, pushing the boundaries of eco-friendly design and exploring innovative approaches to fashion.
Now, as she graduated from Fashion Textiles Technologies in which she delves even deeper into the realm of sustainable fashion and innovative design solutions by collaborating with second-hand garments and materials.
